Client and New Mexico Fishing Guide
Trips & Rates

Half day and full day guided “wade” fishing trips; half and full day guided “float” fishing trips as well as overnight and multi-day fly fishing adventures.

Day Fishing Trips:

We offer a wide variety of guided fly fishing trips taking you to every type of water, from small, high mountain meadow streams to larger rivers. “wade” trips are available on all of the streams and rivers; “float” trips are available on The San Juan River and The Rio Grande. We will be honest with you about current water and weather conditions and will strive to take you to an area where you will have the optimum chances of catching fish. Fly fishing in New Mexico offers incredible diversity. If you have any particular fly fishing style you want to try (i.e. nymphing vs. dry flies) or type of water you are most interested in, we can almost always accommodate your wishes. Please check out our “Waters” page for a more in depth description and photos of most of the rivers and streams we guide on.

For those who may want a more exclusive fishing experience, we do trips on a few select private ranches and limited access locations. Though these trips are more expensive than those on non-private waters, they often become one of a fly fisherman’s most memorable experiences. Also, along with beauty and seclusion, private fishing locations usually offer an angler the best chances at catching and landing trophy sized fish. Each private ranch and/or limited access locations has a different rod fee per angler, which will be added onto the cost of the trip.

Most of the trips we take often require an hour or more of driving time to get to the spot. For this reason we recommend, if your time constraints allow it, that you give serious consideration to a full day trip. You will have much more time to relax, fish and enjoy yourself on the river, for the same amount of driving time as a half day trip.

We can provide transportation for all of our trips. Full-day trips include a nice lunch, snacks and beverages. Half-day trips include snacks and beverages. All fishing gear and flies are provided at no extra cost.

Our day trip rates are as follows:

For the very best guided fly fishing experience we recommend having one guide for every two people going on a trip. The maximum number of people per guide is 3. Groups of more than 3 people will require additional guides.

Multi-day and Overnight Fishing Trips:

We also offer our clients the option of going on trips that are for more than one day. This is often the best way to experience fishing in the more remote areas we guide in. Often we customize these types of trips so a client can fish a group of particular streams and rivers at one time. They are usually are “package deals” covering guiding, meals, lodging and transportation for the whole trip. Please contact us to discuss options and details of what we offer.
